Manager of Community, Effective Altruism

Catherine Low currently teaches Ethics and Physics at a high school in New Zealand. In her youth she was obsessed with finding out the secrets of the universe, and gained a PhD in particle physics from The University of Melbourne. Since then she has been a Science and Physics teacher, aiming to inspire students to improve the world using Science. A founding member of Effective Altruism New Zealand, she has been involved in effective altruism outreach for the last two years, giving presentations to any group who could possibly be convinced to listen, and has worked with Students for High-Impact Charity developing and trialling their educational resources.
